what did I find the most challenging? um.. I would say tubing at El rancho because we had to walk across those rocky paths.

Describe my favourite moment?   that's easy it was archery because loved the intensity with hitting the yellow with the arrow whizzed thought the air and it was so fun to see were I hit. Well it was just so fun!!

what did I find easy? watching the shows at the capital E my eyes were focused. I didn't move well the shows were on!

is it what I expected? well yes. I knew there were going to be challenges but I didn't think that tubing would be that hard!

My proudest moment was when I was the only girl that hit the target apart from avania was with the other team for our little comp we had!



                                                                   

EOTC week review

Hello again

last week was E.O.T.C (education outside the classroom) week so that meant no tasks no homework no nothing.( yes!)

Monday: we went up mount kaukau and we didn't think it was going to be fun but it was!


This is on the way down and it bucketed down with rain! but I guess it was fun because I was with my friends and that distracted me little.

Tuesday: on Tuesday we went to El rancho camp it was so fun! we did archery, rock climbing some people did swimming (I did) and tubing. My group first did rock climbing and it was inside. I raced up two of the  walls but the other two I did were a big fail! I just couldn't my body weight up through my hands.

And that's me climbing.

 

Next my group did tubing.Two words WEAR SHOES

it was fun in the water not when your walking on a rocky path in bear feet. once you were at the river and we were about to go in it was so shallow! so we had to carry a giant tube around about my height over mossy rocks. But once you could actually it down it was so nice!!!!!!!!!

 

Next my group did archery  I was so exited for this I love archery so so much! Its just so fun

after we had all done those activity's we all had lunch and you could choose if you wanted to play in the play ground or go swimming. Only a few other girls went with me to the pool.

 

And that was El rancho!

 

Wednesday: we were supposed to go sailing in Wednesday but it was cancelled so we went to te papa and we did more rock climbing. We were split into two group  some would go to te papa and one did rock climbing first. My group did rock climbing first at fry bergs rock climbing and kayaks. First I did a starter graffiti wall. and moved to the harder stuff. Such as the actual rock wall with bumps and ledges.

Next we went to te papa were we went into the 75 years of air NZ.and I have not been in there until now. And the coolest thing was the virtual reality using the oculus rift but in fact when you look at me it looks like I am asleep!

Thursday: on Thursday we went to the capital E shows the shows we went tom see were The circus of the animals and it was so cool!!!!!!!!!!!there was acrobatics and it was really pretty!

Next we went to see was The big adventure it was all about world war 1/2 and Anzac and it was pretty funny! After that we went to see that we saw our last one was beard beard beard which had history,comedy and a girl who really wanted a beard!

Friday:

on Friday we went to narnville and played a hole bunch of games. And when we went swimming there were two groups and we switched around so we both got to do the activity's and they were diving and survival swimming. Also smoothing called a peanut roll which is basically a flip into the water!

my holiday in nelson day 1

Our flight to Nelson was 7 am and my dad was up going up and down the hall way at 5 in the morning because he wanted to get to the airport early.So I grabbed my bag (which I had packed the night before) and walked down the hall. We were going down to Nelson with my  English aunt and uncle. Jane (my aunt) was in the kitchen and she said "good morning Niamh" and I said good morning back.


One hour later...
Mum had finished packing and we were all ready to and we had ordered a  shuttle  to pick us up.I went outside to see if the shuttle was there yet and he sure was at the top of the drive everyone raced out with there bags and we started walking up the driveway and my cat Bonnie started to follow us up!
I tried to shoo her back down but she didn't leave . Mum said "Niamh quick!" so i said good-bye to bonbon
and got into the shuttle.


As we drove around the bay I looked out of the window and in the sky was a hole lot of big fluffy clouds and the hole sky was orange and purple it was so pretty!


When we got to the airport I was starving i had had no breakfast in the mad rush Riley was having subway and most of the adults  were having coffee i also had subway but it also felt weird not going to school.


As 7 am neared  we started walking to were we got on the plane but the thing was our plane was one that you actually had to walk on to and this was a new experience for me I was neither frighted of exited. so the pilot called us out to a door with the smallest plane you could imagine or I guess the smallest I've seen! my dad and  I went up to the front wear the cock-pit was and my uncle Mathew was sitting with the pilot in the very front I guess the flight didn't really need a plane that big it was only a 40 minute flight.

As we were in the air we were above the clouds and now I know why NZ is called land of the long white cloud it was like those clouds would go on forever!

Once we had landed we got the rental car and started driving to the hotel we were all staying in and when we got there Riley and I were so exited because there was a yogurt place down stairs!


Once we had been to the hotel we went to a place called Founders for lunchits an old settlers village with a hole to of little old  and fire station.

Hello again

As most of you may know the icc cricket world cup is on [cwc]. Personally I don't really watch cricket neither do I play it so this inset really one of my interests. For one of the last three weeks tasks was to make a slide show and poster about a country from the cricket world cup I got India and also Mr Mcgurk picked a two names out of a hat and who ever your name is picked up with is your buddy simple as that. My name was picked up with Claire she was really fun to work with because I went away to nelson for a week and she had to do the poster by herself because I was doing the poster she was doing the power point and had got the power point done in a week! when I got back she had got a lot of it done and had drawn a really cool picture of the Taj Mahal one of India's most popular tourist points. So it was up to me to finish it off. I think we did quite well considering I was gone a week.
