Today I am going to talk about the flag! The government wants to change the New Zealand flag!
Personally I don't want to change the flag and that this whole thing is a waste of 26 million dollars, we have so many other problems we could use that money on.
What four flags would you pick?
If I had to narrow the top forty flag designs down to four they would have to be
#1 This flag is called Black Jack the reason why this is at the top of my top four list is
it is quite similar to our current flag but has a Maori design of the union jack and it has kept the southern cross which is one of our more known symbols. It is also quite pretty and that this will appeal to both Maori and Foreigners.
#2 This is called the Tukutuku I'm not sure what this means but I do quite like this design.
Its quite modern and edgy. I'am not sure what else to say about this though.Tell me your opinion in the comments!
#3 This is called the black and white fern and the name speaks the truth this shows New Zealand quite well. In my opinion the fern is another one of our national symbols. But this is more traditional and less modern so I don't know how this will go down with the people.
#4 last but not least is this flag called Land Of The Long White Cloud. I love the colour scheme of this flag its so soft but its more like a flag for a wild life reserve than for a country.
